Maiden in Concord
I have been a fan of Juvenile for around 25 years and have attended about 20 shows. I found this performance to be somewhat average. The new song they played from their upcoming release caught my attention, as did much of the material from "A Matter of Life and Death." However, most of the setlist consisted of newer songs, which didn't fully engage me. When they did play older songs, the audience's excitement was palpable.
Overall, the night felt a bit off to me. They appeared to be out of sync at times, not performing at their best. I never fully immersed myself in the show. The camera operator's choices were frustrating, focusing on the wrong band members during key moments. As a guitarist myself, I prefer to see the guitarist's hands during solos.
Despite these issues, I still appreciated the stage setup and backdrops. Juvenile remains a top band for me, but this tour didn't quite hit the mark. If you're a die-hard fan, you may still enjoy the show, especially if you've loved their recent work.
